Our food bank accepts monetary and non-perishable food donations. Under certain circumstances, we will accept perishable food. Fundraising is another way to support the food bank.
Monetary
You can support the Helping Hands Food Bank in several ways:
One-time donations: cash, cheque, e-transfer, or debit/credit through our in-house POS system.
Scheduled donations: set up monthly, quarterly, or yearly contributions.
Online giving: click the DONATE button at the top right of this website.
Legacy giving: memorial gifts, bequests, trusts, estates, or foundations to create lasting impact.
In-person or by mail: drop off cash/cheques at the food bank, use our POS machine, or mail cheques (please do not mail cash for security reasons).
As a registered charity, we provide official tax receipts for all financial donations, allowing you to claim deductions and maximize the benefit of your generosity. Your support helps us continue our mission to serve those in need.

Fundraising/Food Drives
We occasionally have opportunities for volunteers to join and support our mission. Additionally, if you have experience or expertise in fundraising and are interested in taking on a leadership role, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Many groups in our community independently direct their own internal fundraising and food drive events to support local needs. You are welcome to start your own with your organization, business, school, family, or community group—or bring us your unique idea to support our food bank. Your creativity can make a significant impact!
Contact us, and we can help you through the process and approve your efforts.
